Spring 2010!
Summer is on its way at last and I am looking forward to it after the winter we have just had! Wind, rain and snow is terribly damaging to hair so now is a good time to get your hair back under control in time for the good weather.
As some of you will know I have been studying for a Diploma is Image Consultancy and will be offering a range of services alongside my hair dressing and wedding services. If you would like to know more please don't hesitate to ask.
Wedding season is here again so I would just like to offer a few tips for brides who are planning their weddings:
- Always book your hairdresser well in advance of the day and remember to book a trial session - this helps you get a sense of what your hair will look like on the day.
- On the day, always leave enough time to get ready - this can be hard when guests and family are arriving and all are wanting to say hello and spend time with you. If needed, get someone to stand outside the room you are getting ready in to fend off well-meaning visitors!
- It is important to make sure you have good, well-lit space available for hair and make-up - try to clear away suitcases, coats and unwanted clutter and try to have a good sized table available to lay make-up and hair things on.
- A small but invaluable tip is not to leave your nails until last when you have your dress on - red nail varnish and expensive gown do not go well together. Believe me, people forget and panic at the last minute with terrible consequences.
